• Franklin School of Innovation was awarded the Early Literacy Grant from the Colorado Department of Education in 2016-17.  We are in our final year of the grant.  
    • This grant is a "comprehensive approach to improving early literacy, focused on implementing and sustaining scientifically and evidence-based reading instruction." The grant took full effect in the 2016-17 school year; lasting for three years and we were lucky enough to be awarded the Sustainability Grant for the 2020-2021 School year! 
  • Pueblo City Schools will be implementing a new literacy curriculum, Wonders, in the 2020-21 school year. Keep an eye out for resources to be posted when they are available!
  • Franklin School of Innovation will be using Engage New York for the 3rd year in 2020-21. Pueblo City Schools as a whole adopted the same curriculum as a whole in the school year 2019-20. Engage New York is a very rigorous, Common Core based mathematics curriculum that builds strong foundational skills beginning in Kindergarten. Engage New York has resources for Parents & Families as well as an online video library through Embarc.Online

Reading & Writing Resources:
  • EPIC Books- Ask your student's teacher for their class code.
  • Create pages of letters, words, and sentences that you can print out for you student to practice their writing!
Math Resources:
  • - an online math practice program where students can do math challenges in an interactive game. The students can log-in with their school Google accounts.
  • Embarc Online - an online resource containing information and videos for grades K-8 based on the Eureka/Engage New York Math Curriculum!
Typing Resources:
  • Typing Club - Online typing practice for all grade levels. Students can use their school log in or play for free by just Google searching the sites.
